Airbnb Course: Which Program Fits Your Goal?

Searching "Airbnb course" turns up hundreds of options, and most of them are built for a different goal than yours. Before you compare prices or reviews, answer one question: how do you want to make money with Airbnb?
There are three paths, and each needs different skills.
| Your goal | What you need to learn | BNB Mastery program |
|---|---|---|
| Host your own place better | Listing, pricing, guest experience, automation | BNB Tribe |
| Earn without buying property | Finding owners, managing their listings, scaling a service business | BNB Co-Hosting Mastery |
| Buy short-term rentals | Markets, deal analysis, financing, launch | BNB Investing Mastery |
James Svetec has done all of them: hosting his own place, co-hosting, rental arbitrage, and investing. He launched his first listing in 2015, was managing a handful of properties with a six-figure income by 2018, and later sold his management business to focus on investing and teaching. He co-authored Airbnb for Dummies, and BNB Mastery students now number 1,100+ across 14+ countries.
Path 1: Hosting your own Airbnb
Who it's for: you already have a listing (or a property you're about to list) and want more bookings, higher rates, and less work.
What a hosting course should teach: listing optimization, photography, pricing and booking pace, guest messaging, automation, reviews, and direct bookings.
Our option: BNB Tribe is a monthly membership with templates and tools (including the Pricing Optimization Tool, the STR ROI Spreadsheet, and Listing Genius AI), the "BNB Bootcamp" A-to-Z training, advanced playbooks added monthly, weekly live community calls, and 240+ members. It's cancel-anytime with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
"The Tribe offers a markedly different approach to the STR learning process. The community itself is a collaboration of challenges, successes, experiences, and it's really a safe space to ask questions." — Corey W.
Path 2: Co-hosting (no property needed)
Who it's for: you want a business managing other people's Airbnbs for a share of revenue, without buying, renting, or furnishing anything.
What a co-hosting course should teach: finding and winning owners, pricing your services, contracts, operations, and scaling with a team. Full guide: what to look for in an Airbnb co-hosting course.
Our option: BNB Co-Hosting Mastery, a six-week online program with scripts, a client presentation, templates, and twice-weekly live Q&A calls.
"Within my first two weeks, I got my first two properties, and now five months later, I'm managing five properties." — Sam Harris
"I have a little over 20 properties and I think six more coming on board." — Jami Broad
Path 3: Investing in short-term rentals
Who it's for: you have capital (or partners) and want to buy property for cash flow and long-term wealth.
What an investing course should teach: market selection, deal analysis, financing, renovation budgets, furnishing, and launch. Full guide: how to choose an Airbnb investing course.
Our option: BNB Investing Mastery, a ten-week program covering markets through launch, with a three-level property analysis and twice-weekly coaching calls.
"Since then, we have acquired, I think four short term rentals. And all of the returns that we're getting are not only beating the stock market, but are also bringing me cash flow in every single month." — Cole Gordon
Not sure which path? Run the numbers
- Thinking about buying? Try the Airbnb investment calculator.
- Thinking about co-hosting? Try the co-hosting calculator.
- Already hosting? Check your pace with the pricing calculator.
Many students combine paths. Some start co-hosting to build income and experience, then buy. Others own one property and add co-hosting clients.
How to vet any Airbnb course
Whichever program you consider, ours or anyone else's:
- Is it built for your goal? A hosting course won't teach you to win management clients.
- Can you reach the instructor? Students repeatedly said live calls were the most valuable part.
- Are the results real and named? Watch the BNB Mastery student reviews.
- Is it current? Airbnb's fees and rules change. The host-only 15.5% fee is one recent example.
- What happens after you finish? Community and ongoing support matter more than the number of videos.
