The question everyone asks before starting a co-hosting business is simple: does this actually work for normal people? The best answer comes from people who've done it.
These are ten students of BNB Co-Hosting Mastery (formerly the BNB Mastery Program), in their own words from their video testimonials. They include career changers, parents, and hosts who wanted to scale. Some grew fast and some slowly. You can watch the videos on the reviews page.
1. Jami Broad: from burnt-out marketer to 20+ properties
Jami was a director of marketing for a national franchise, then ran her own marketing business, and was burnt out.
"My hesitation was joining the program was obviously the money... and not knowing if I would follow through with it, but of course I did, and I actually got my money back within a couple months... Now that I've been in the program for two years, it's going great. I have a little over 20 properties and I think six more coming on board. I have two full-time employees and a bunch of cleaners."
She also worried about market saturation: "I actually haven't found that to be an issue at all." Her business has since opened in a second city.
2. Alisha Nelson: quit a hospital job, nine properties in eight months
Alisha worked at a children's hospital in Vancouver and had no sales experience. She decided to quit after watching the free webinar.
"My goal was for 10 properties in a year and I've gotten nine in eight months... All of my nine properties... have been completely word of mouth. It's not online marketing, it's not Facebook marketing, it's nothing."
The real win for her was time: "I got time with my son when he was really, really little and you don't get that time back... Now I'm making more income than I would've if I had put my son in daycare and gone back to work full time."
3. Drew Rothkopf: nine listings in four months
Drew had been a sales manager for over ten years.
"I signed my first client when I still had a week or so left in the program... I brought on my second property in September. And then things kind of took off in November and early December. I signed three more clients, which actually brought on seven more listings... So nine listings total, four clients, in the first four months."
His honest take: "It definitely hasn't been easy, but... they go above and beyond in giving you the tools to succeed."
4. Sam Harris: laid off, then five properties in five months
"I got laid off from my job in August of 2019, and I just said, you know, I had nothing to lose... Within my first two weeks, I got my first two properties, and now five months later, I'm managing five properties... This is definitely not a get rich quick scheme... If you lay the groundwork down and do the steps, it's gonna pay off."
5. Elissa Zavora: first client in the first month
Elissa worked in aviation and wanted out.
"I talked to lots of people within the first month. A friend of a friend knew somebody that was moving, that was wanting to rent out their house on Airbnb. They contacted me and I had my first clients immediately. And I'm still working with her and it's great. She just became a Superhost and I'm already working with somebody else."

6. Andrea Jordan: lost her listing, then got it back as a client
Andrea had hosted a home she didn't own for five or six years. Then the owner sold it.
"The one listing that I got was a call back from the new buyers. They sought me out and asked me if I would list the home again... If James hadn't gotten me to the point where I was ready for that call, I wouldn't be able to take it."
Two months into the program she had three listings, against a goal of ten in a year. She had tried other programs before: "I have never had a coach so invested in my success."
7. Deven Ogden: stuck at three properties, then a three-property client
Deven had hosted for a couple of years but couldn't get past two or three properties.
"Just this last weekend, I was able to sign on a new client, a new property owner, and they actually have three properties, and one of them is a very large six bedroom home."
8. Maria Scott: burnt out on one property, now runs three
"I was also cleaning. I was doing everything for this property, and I was just getting burned out... I now have three properties right now that I manage. Everything is just so much easier. It's streamlined... I feel like I have my life back."
9. Stephen Hickman: converting long-term rentals near a new stadium
Stephen's town was building a new college football stadium, and he saw that the long-term rentals nearby could earn more as short-term rentals.
"Actually been able to sign two new clients for as soon as it's open."
He owns a short-term rental himself: "Last year alone we netted almost $50,000 off that property."
10. Victor Hope: from first outreach to a 16-flat prospect
Some stories are just getting started. Victor used the outreach scripts and booked his first owner meeting:
"My first appointment, which is actually gonna be next week, is with a real estate investor who owns 16 flats... in Barcelona... which is like my ideal client, literally my ideal client."
What these stories have in common
- First clients came from conversations, not ads. Friends, referrals, a forum, a call-back from a buyer.
- The first property done well sells the next ones. Alisha's entire portfolio came from word of mouth.
- Consistency beat speed. Several students said the mindset and consistency training mattered as much as the business content.
- Nobody said it was easy. "It's a lot of work, but it's worth it," as Mary Bryan put it.
